Many herbs are used in more than one culture. For example, Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) is used in the Chinese, Western, and Ayurvedic herbal system. If you don't find the herb in one system, check the other categories of single herbs. Our common names are listed according to the 2000 edition of “Herbs of Commerce”, which means the common name you are familiar with may have changed. “Herbs of Commerce” is the reference book for regulatory standardization of botanicals. A Latin reference is listed here to aid you in finding the correct botanical.
